Hi friends!
I”m back for my once-a-year update to my website :P
Lots of cool projects and shows happening this fall!
I just came back from Philadelphia where I was playing a run of a show called “Let Me Die”, written by and starring my good friend Joseph Keckler. It was the only show I’ve played where I got fake- murdered on stage! He is one of my favorite artists I’ve ever worked with and his shows are brilliant, quirky, dark, and hilarious. I am in awe of his talent and am excited to go on a short tour with him and two other amazing colleagues Michael Hanf and Matthew Dean Marsh with another one of his shows “Train with No Midnight” this June!
This month I’m going to Boston with another one of my favorite musicians, Charlie Rosen, to play concertmaster with his 8-bit Big Band video game orchestra. My section will be comprised of Berklee School of music violinists - I’m so excited! If you’re in Boston come check us out! Charlie is one of the most brilliant musicians I’ve ever worked with and it’s an honor to play his music.
At the end of the month I’ll be going on a quick tour with Jonsi from Sigur Ross and the Wordless Orchestra. We will be performing in DC, New York, and Boston. I’m just getting to know his music and I’m so excited to play with this beautiful musician.
Next month on November 8th, I join amazing vocalist Julie Reumert to accompany her on string quartet for a recital in Carnegie Hall’s Weill Hall. My very good friends Valeriya Sholokhova, Nikita Morozov, and Sabina Torosjan and I will accompany Julie and also play some awesome repertoire of our own including selections from Schubert’s Death and the Maiden and Edvard Grieg’s first string quartet. Come check us out.
After that, i’m excited to accompany the Radio City Rockettes this season and a part of their orchestra until January 1st!
Check out a new video I made with my good friend Josh of beloved Bob Dylan’s “Girl from North Country”
Highlights of this past season included playing a pre-concert trio performance to introduce a talk by Martin Scorsese at The Basilica of Old St. Patrick’s Cathedral on Mulberry street with two musicians I love and admire very much, Valeriya Sholokhova and Jared Lamenzo, and a performances with Chamber Orchestra of New York at the Tory Burch and Dolce and Gabbana fashion shows - here I am getting ready to play at the Dolce and Gabbana show with my close friend and amazing violinist Caroline Drexler:
Recently I have been having so much fun playing sessions with Charlie Rosen’s 8 -bit Big Band - this guy is a musical genius and I’m so proud to be a part of his videos! Check out this amazing one he just released:
Last but not least, here I am with one of my musical heroes the incredible Isaiah Sharkey at Katreese Barnes’ Welcome to My House show.
Thanks so much guys for reading! Happy fall!
